TRISHA Turner wites:

“My brother David ( WHITEING) has suggested that I email you about our

visit to Yokohama and attach a photograph.

“It was really very simple once I had a surname for Aunt

Winnie. I emailed the Foreign General Cemetery for information

and they emailed back with two photographs of the grave, the plot

number and directions to reach it. I had informed them when I

intended to visit but was very surprised to see flowers at the

grave. I am trying to discover whether there is someone in Japan

who is still visiting the grave.”

Can you help out, please contact us if you have any details.

ON June 13 Laurel and Ian Dawson, of Australia, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
They say it was a wonderful day, both event and weather wise.
The plan was to hold a gathering on the verandah but a wonderful sunny day allowed them to move all the tables out into the garden for a barbecue lunch. They had about 70 people present.
The day before they had a much smaller party at the Hospital Nursing Home for Laurel's mother for her 105th birthday. As she was out for the anniversary celebration next day she was able to catch up with many more relatives and friends.
