For those of us who are staying in the UK, it has been decided to hold a get-together next summer.
The plan is to meet at Trethorne on a Saturday, get a bus to Truro to join a boat to Falmouth, eventually returning to Trethorne for an evening meal. On the Sunday it has been suggested we attend the church service at South Petherwin and see the family graves before having a family meal and saying our goodbyes.
The date has yet to be organised, as it is subject to tides. However, further details will be in the next newsletter.

Congratulations to Ian & Laurel Dawson on their  Golden Wedding day.

ON June 13 Laurel and Ian Dawson, of Australia, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
They say it was a wonderful day, both event and weather wise.
The plan was to hold a gathering on the verandah but a wonderful sunny day allowed them to move all the tables out into the garden for a barbecue lunch. They had about 70 people present.
The day before they had a much smaller party at the Hospital Nursing Home for Laurel's mother for her 105th birthday. As she was out for the anniversary celebration next day she was able to catch up with many more relatives and friends.
